NAP – Best selection of the evening

THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 6 AT AQUEDUCT ON THURSDAY NIGHT!

Race 6 Aqueduct 7.52 Shaker Shack (5/2)

Improving filly who left debut run well behind to win convincingly over track and trip in January; excuses last time up to this grade but still ran huge to finish second; more to come yet and well placed to resume her progression.

Gone for a slightly bigger price tonight for our best bet Stateside and SHAKER SHACK should prove hard to beat at Aqueduct. She really impressed on penultimate start and it didn’t go entirely to plan when bidding to follow up last time. If she builds on that though she will be hard to beat here and with positive tactics assured she could take a lot of catching. Betsy Blue beat Willow Grove last time and that was a nice performance but Shesadirtydancer beat her previously so she’s going to need to improve again to play a part here. Every chance she could so definitely feared. Bustinmygroove is capable and is another one to consider in opposition.

Race 6 Golden Gate Fields 11.10 Ranger Molly (5/2)

Promising filly who has gradually progressed with each run and deserved to get her head in front over the extended 5f here last month, albeit a dead-heat; more to come for sure and looks to have a leading chance.

Again we’ve gone for a slightly bigger price than usual for our NB as we head to Golden Gate on Thursday night. RANGER MOLLY did well to dig in and force a dead-heat last time and with further improvement on the cards as she gains more experience she looks to have a big chance of following up. This is competitive but I think she will ultimately be better than this grade in time. Janero Rose impressed last time kicking away in the closing stages and she might be overpriced at around 10/1. I think I’ll be backing her to hit the frame as well. Island Life was the filly to dead-heat with the selection and given that was her debut she can improve too so might be the main danger up slightly in trip.
