NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS OVER JUMPS AT FFOS LAS ON THURSDAY AFTERNOON!
Ffos Las 4.07 Oneupmanship (15/8)
Promising type who really caught the eye when beaten just half a length by Sizable Sam at Wincanton on penultimate start; excuses last time and if bouncing back would have a great chance of making the breakthrough.
I’m convinced the best is yet to come with ONEUPMANSHIP and this looks a good opportunity for him to open his account. He never got into any sort of rhythm last time and his jumping lacked fluency. His run before that showed the potential he has beaten jut half a length by Sizable Sam with the field well strung out in behind. If he ran to that sort of level here, and I think he’s capable of better, he will go close. No Fame No Game ran well when second at Clonmel in testing ground last time and looks the danger back up in trip for her new yard. If the selection is back to his best though I think she’ll have her work cutout to beat him. Tallow For Coal can do better but might need more time.

Uttoxeter 3.10 Off The Hook (15/8)
Improved off the back of a wind op and a switch in stables to finish third at Newcastle; probably stepped forward again at Market Rasen last time but a bit keen early; looks well handicapped and could be time to strike.
Dan and Harry Skelton are red-hot right now (both with over a 25% strike rate in the past fortnight) and OFF THE HOOK looks poised to go close at Uttoxeter. This mare has been largely frustrating but she has shown clear promise on two starts for this yard and if she can settle better in the early stages she will be coming home best I think. This race lacks any sort of quality so I don’t think she’ll need to improve much to take it. Frisco Bay is second fav but he was disappointing last time and comes here with enough to prove for me. Oscar Asche has solid each way claims but I’ll be surprised if the selection can’t get the better of him in the closing stages. Animal might improve but he certainly needs to.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Uttoxeter and Ffos Las on Thursday afternoon.
