Promising colt who caught the eye running on strongly on debut over a mile; quickly improved up in trip to win at Bath and followed up back down to a mile at Newcastle; bumped into a smart prospect last time; more to come.
With Mark Johnston having made a quick start to the new season the improving ANNANDALE is taken to make it 3 wins from 5 starts. He is by Australia and has looked really promising in just four runs to date. He has already won over this trip and off the same mark that saw him get within a neck of the unbeaten Tamborrada last time he looks to have a massive chance of going one better. Albert Camus is the closest in the betting and he ran well over C&D when third last time. He still has potential so could be a danger. At a bigger price I thought Glide Down could run well. He caught the eye when third at Lingfield on return and might be overpriced in terms of a place.

Gowran Park 4.30 Elizabethan (9/4)
War Front filly who improved as she gained experience last term and was at her best on final start winning at Naas, eased close home; sure to do better now and could be one to keep firmly on side today and going forward.
Given the promise ELIZABETHAN had showed on her first three starts it was no surprise to see her brush aside a competitive field at Naas on final start and with the form well advertised since she looks one to keep on side on return. She is related to Group 1 winners Roxy Poly and U S Navy Flag and the best is yet to come. She holds an Irish Guineas entry and she would want to be winning this to take up that engagement next month. Silver Service has fitness on side and ran well beaten just a neck by Wonder Elzaam last month. She could go well at a price. Queenship got off the mark at just the second attempt at Dundalk and could be promising so is also respected now on turf.
