THE NAP (BEST BET) LANDED AGAIN YESTERDAY SO WE’RE NOW CHASING A HAT-TRICK!
Worcester 7.45 Hydroplane (4/5)
Put up a big performance winning for the third time this season at Kempton on Monday; turned out quickly off the same mark here so obvious chance of going in again and making it 3 wins from his last 5 runs.
The money was down and HYDROPLANE certainly didn’t disappoint at Kempton earlier this week. He travelled well off the pace before picking them off one by one and doing it readily by 7 and a half lengths at the line. He has come into his own on better ground and racing off the same mark tonight he is hard to get away from. He won a jumpers bumper back in February so is looking to make it 3 wins from his last 5 across all disciplines now. Not a great field in opposition but perhaps Iron Heart will bounce back to chase him home. This colt was progressing well prior to struggling off this mark at Ascot. If he bounces back he could be the one to chase the favourite home.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS OVER JUMPS AT PERTH ON FRIDAY NIGHT!
Perth 3.50 Dame De Compagnie (7/4)
Talented mare who beat Black Tears in the Coral Cup at Cheltenham last year; disappointed behind that rival at this year’s festival but could get back on the up switched back to fences again stepping up to 3 miles for the first time.
I’m glad to see DAME DE COMPAGNIE going back over fences as she bolted up on chase debut albeit in a match with Cornerstone Lad at Ayr in January and while she unseated at Sandown that test didn’t appear to suit so it was a rushed decision to revert back over timber. She should come into her own up to 3 miles for the first time and I think she’ll have too much for these. She is definitely the class angle and even at 7/4 she has to be the bet. Zambella took a tumble at the festival and would be a danger if bouncing back from that. My Old Gold usually finds one or two too good and Chilli Filli needs to get back to her best to have a say. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Momella run well.
