THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS ON THE FLAT AT MUSSELBURGH ON THURSDAY EVENING!
Musselburgh 5.05 Propriety (7/4)
Well bred filly who improved when beaten less than a length at Beverley last time on debut for her new yard; can build on that now and if she does she should open her account; Mutamaded held on that last run.
The NAP failed to fire at Ascot yesterday so hopefully we can get back on track on Thursday as we head to Musselburgh for our best bet. PROPRIETY hasn’t set the world alight so far but she has only had four runs and very nearly opened her account last time. She should have more to come now and given she had main market rival Mutamaded held back in third last time I think she’ll confirm that form here and make the breakthrough. She is by Galileo so is certainly bred to be a lot better than these. Mutamaded is the most likely danger and I do expect them to finish the 1-2. Chief Craftsman hasn’t been seen for 166 days and usually needs his first outing back. Smart Lass also needs to do better.

Lingfield 3.00 Shecandoo (3/1)
Toronado filly who reacted well to a first-time visor when rattling home to get up and win going away over C&D earlier in the month; can build on that now and looks the most likely winner granted usual luck in-running.
I was quite surprised to see SHECANDOO open at 3/1 here as she won impressively enough last time given she was slowly away as well. She will be ridden patiently again and as long as she gets the gaps when she needs them I think she’ll be finishing best of all under Martin Dwyer. Given her breeding a 6lb rise shouldn’t be an issue as there could be lots more to come yet. Lady Florence is better off with the favourite having been chinned three quarters of a length last time and looks the one to give her most to think about again but at the same time I’ll be surprised if she has enough to reverse the form. King Robert was left poorly placed last time and may prove best of the rest.
