NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS OVER JUMPS AT KEMPTON ON BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY!
Kempton 2.25 Will Carver (6/4)
Took a big step forward to give the classy Faivoir a real fright at Newbury when last seen; still looked a bit green under pressure and sure to keep improving; this looks a good opportunity to open his account over hurdles.
We head to Kempton on Bank Holiday Monday for our best bet and WILL CARVER can go one better. He was last seen giving the odds-on fav Faivoir a serious scare at Newbury and with that horse having gone on to win his next start at Cheltenham impressively the form looks worth following. He has only had 2 starts over timber so is sure to keep progressing and this looks a great chance for him to get off the mark. Light N Strike will appreciate this longer trip and looks the danger in this field. He has shaped with ability in defeat and should do better in time but just looks to be bumping into one. Roko George has a future jumping and is also not entirely ruled out but the fav sets a high standard to aim at.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT THE CURRAGH THIS AFTERNOON!
Curragh 3.10 Champers Elysees (13/8)
Good looking filly who has reached a high level of form and was last seen finishing a creditable fourth to Nazeef in the Group 1 Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket; type to do better as a 4yo and can make it 5 wins from her last 6.
This looks a good starting point for the likeable CHAMPERS ELYSEES for Johnny Murtagh. This filly has some smart form to her name last season winning 4 from 5 and with the promise of more to come yet she can make a winning return before going on to better things. Queen’s Speech is by American Pharoah and can do better but I think she’s going to need to step up a fair bit to even challenge the favourite and for me might need the run and a bit more time to be seen to best effect. No Speak Alexander is a filly I like and she is lightly raced so again she could kick on now but I think the fav will have all basis covered. Valeria Messalina and Elizabethan look to be best of the rest. Good race.
