THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 9 AT BELMONT PARK ON SATURDAY NIGHT!

Race 9 Belmont Park 10.12 Hard Love (5/2)

Won 2 of his first 3 and impressed last time drawing clear from a good field to win convincingly; open to further improvement and looks one to keep firmly on side for now; can win this before going on to better things.

I’m looking forward to this and I’ve got to be with the progressive HARD LOVE here. He has won 2 of his first 3 starts and showed a nice mix of speed and stamina to win well at Aqueduct last month. He has the scope to keep improving and if he does it’s going to take a big performance to stop him. It’s obviously a good race but he has the most potential for me and is a confident selection. Sainthood has shown some ability on dirt but switches to turf now. He can do better so looks the most likely danger to the favourite. Shaftesbury opened his account last time and while this is tougher he also has to be respected as like the selection he is improving. Safe Conduct looks best of the rest but needs to find more.

Race 8 Santa Anita 12.52 Lambeau (11/4)

Promising type who has won 2 of his last 3 and returned with a game win over a mile here last month; capable of better yet and drop back down to 7f certainly no issue now he’ll be sharper; lots to like.

Another good race and I’m keen to keep LAMBEAU on side against these. This horse has won 2 of his last 3 and already has 3 wins to his name from just 7 starts. He didn’t have the smoothest of starts last time but quickly got into a rhythm and galloped them silly. Back down to 7f won’t bother him now he’s fitter and I think there’s lots to like about his chances. Eight Rings looks the danger but he weakened quite quickly albeit at the top level last time. If he bounces back then he will give the selection a race but he is short enough in the market for me and I think is opposable. Shooters Shoot brings winning form to the table closing up well to win over track and trip last time. This demands much more.
