Chelmsford 8.00 Sea Empress (11/8)
Sea The Stars filly who created a big impression winning readily on debut at Newcastle; ran green on return at Newbury and while she was down the field she wasn’t beaten far; should be more streetwise now and plenty of potential.
I’m expecting SEA EMPRESS to get firmly back on track here for William Haggas and Tom Marquand. This good looking filly just looked a bit clueless on return at Newbury last month and with that under her belt now she can resume her progression following an extremely promising winning debut. She picked up well enough in the closing stages and was doing all her best work late so with that blowing away the cobwebs she should show her potential now. Maytal has shown promise on both starts to date and can do better in time but might just be bumping into one here. Flaunt is the most interesting newcomer but is entitled to do better for the experience. Still one to keep an eye on.

Thirsk 6.45 Timeless Soul (2/1)
Night Of Thunder filly who attracted good support on debut but was given too much to do, making nice headway late in the day to finish third; built on that to open her account at Beverley last time; can improve again and defy a penalty.
Some good racing on Thursday and we have another nice filly potentially in TIMELESS SOUL for Roger Varian. She showed a good attitude to open her account at Beverley and with the promise of more to come she can follow up despite a penalty. I don’t think she was seen to best effect the last day but she still got the job done and I’ll be surprised if there’s something good enough in here to beat her. Belief is gradually getting the hang of things and only went down narrowly at Nottingham. Another run like that would see her chase home the selection. Both Voice Of Wisdom and Ocean Wave make appeal on their pedigrees but they should do better in time. This is quite a big ask on debut.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Thirsk and Chelmsford on Thursday night.
