THE US NAP (BEST BET) WON AGAIN LAST NIGHT AND RUNS AT ARLINGTON TONIGHT!

Race 3 Arlington 9.25 Dom The Bomb (4/5)

Won 3 of his last 4 and raced with enthusiasm before always doing enough close home to win again at the start of the month; won the last time he was on turf so no reason why he won’t transfer that form; should have too much.

I know he isn’t getting any younger now a 9yo but DOM THE BOMB is the one to beat again. He comes here chasing a hat-trick after showing a good attitude to prevail the last twice and while this is a bit more competitive and he is switching to turf for the first time in a while he still has plenty in his favour. He won his last start on turf back in 2019 and has 5 wins from 10 starts on the grass overall. He will push forward and look to dictate before hopefully holding on well. Mongol Bull brings winning form to the table in a better race than this so he has to be respected but I think the selection will have his measure. Boom Box was behind the latter last time and has his work cutout to try and reverse that.

Race 4 Churchill Downs 11.27 Flat Lucky (11/8)

Pulled away late to win again over the extended 6f here last month; won his last two now so clearly thriving and looks to have a big chance of landing the hat-trick back up to 7f here; should get a good pace to aim at so leading claims.

We head to Churchill Downs on Thursday night for our second best bet Stateside and FLAT LUCKY can win again. He is chasing a hat-trick and has actually now won 4 of his last 6. This track suits him well and going back up to 7f should be no issue especially if he gets carried into the race for longer. State Treasurer impressed last time but that was over shorter and in an easier contest than this so he’ll need more to trouble the selection. Rock On Kitten was behind State Treasurer on penultimate start but built on that to get back in the winners enclosure last time over track and trip and it wouldn’t surprise me if he emerged as the main danger to the selection. Hard to recommend much else in here.
