NAP – Best selection of the evening

THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 7 AT ARLINGTON ON FRIDAY NIGHT!

Race 7 Arlington 11.25 Krewe Chief (13/8)

Showed a great attitude to get up and prevail by a neck over track and trip last month; just got going too late on a synthetic surface last time but lost little in defeat; hard to oppose back on turf and looks the one to beat.

The money is coming for KREWE CHIEF at Arlington tonight and it’s easy to see why given the way he closed up and got there to score over track and trip last month. If they go a good clip here which they should he looks the most likely winner again. Any of 4 or 5 could push forward and if that happens it would be an ideal scenario. Huey Attack has won 3 of his last 4 and impressed last time on turf. That was over 5f though and I’m not sure a mile suits him as well. This is an easier race but I think the selection might have his measure late especially if he goes too hard early. I think there are a few dangers but if the fav runs his race he should have them covered.

Race 4 Santa Anita 10.31 Dr. Schivel (15/8)

Classy colt who won head in chest on penultimate start and quickly improved again to prove himself at the top level when last seen in September; changed hands since but promises to do even better now and if fit enough will win.

We head to Santa Anita for our second best bet of the night and DR. SCHIVEL can make a successful return and bring up the hat-trick. He looked a colt going places when last seen 284 days ago and if fit enough he should have too much class for these. Canadian Pride is the obvious danger as he showed a good attitude to score on penultimate start before bumping into a decent horse in Shooters Shoot last time. Speed Pass has been contesting good races and was beaten less than 2 lengths last time so that form brings him right into this. Fight On is consistent but looks out his depth in this company. Liam’s Pride lost his way when last seen and also comes here with enough to prove at present.
