THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 10 AT CHURCHILL DOWNS ON FRIDAY NIGHT!

Race 10 Churchill Downs 10.26 Art Collector (6/4)

Smart colt who made it five wins in a row in the summer last year; highly tried last two starts; this looks a good starting point on his return and I think he’ll win comfortably before going on to better things; one to keep on side.

I’m looking forward to seeing ART COLLECTOR here. He looked a colt going places last year even beating Swiss Skydiver in the Blue Grass Stakes. He was highly tried on his final two starts contesting the Preakness before having a crack at the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile. This is obviously much calmer waters on his return and I think he’ll win before going on to some bigger prizes this season. Strike Power sprinted clear to win 3 starts back and has acquitted himself well in defeat in graded company twice since. He looks the most obvious danger to the favourite. Bango beat Long Range Toddy over 6f here last time and also has to enter calculations off the back of that effort.

Promising colt who has run two eye-catching races since returning beaten a length over track and trip on reappearance and then runner-up again when bumping into a nice horse last time; more to come and should win this.

The progressive TIGHTROPE looks worth sticking with in the lucky last at Arlington tonight. He should be hitting peak fitness after two likeable efforts and I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t get himself back in the winners enclosure tonight. He will push forward and could take a lot of catching. Midnight Blue Note was a spot behind the selection on penultimate run before winning over C&D last time. He had both Royal Commish and Olson behind him on that occasion so it’s franked the form of the favourite if anything. Looks one of the main dangers again here. Three Amigos impressed last time but needs to transfer that form back to turf now to have a say in the finish here.
