Improving colt who dug in bravely to prevail over track and trip last month; form stacks up and still capable of better so looks to have a big chance of brining up the hat-trick; one to keep firmly on side for now.

The Stateside NAP just keeps banging out the winners and we head into Sunday night chasing a SIX-TIMER now! We were with RICHIESGOTGAME last time and he didn’t let us down so I see no reason to oppose tonight. He is getting better with experience and looks well placed to bring up the hat-trick. Enough went wrong last time for him to chuck the towel in but he kept digging and toughed it out. I think it will be a similar scenario tonight and he should have too much at the business end. Valiant Vinny was disappointing last time and has a bit to prove off the back of that but his form before on dirt was very solid so he has to be considered. Commandeer might finish second again.

Race 8 Belmont Park 9.40 Fiya (6/5)

Looked a horse going places making it a perfect 5 from 5 on turf last season; ran no sort of race on return in April so happy to put a line through that; still has potential and taken to get back on track tonight; hard to oppose.

We head to Belmont Park on Sunday night for our second best bet Stateside and FIYA can get back to winning ways here. He was a horse improving with every run last season winning all 5 starts on turf. He never looked happy on return and I think he’ll leave that a long way behind now. These are calmer waters and his class is expected to shine through. Holiday Stone showed a good attitude to prevail last time and looks one of the dangers but I do think he needs more and he is coming up against some improving types now so definitely asks more questions. Pulsate has some decent form and might be the danger. The Connector is the outsider of the field but could easily grab a place late in the day.
