NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS ON THE FLAT OVER AT AYR ON MONDAY AFTERNOON!
Ayr 1.00 Turn Back Time (7/4)
Time Test filly who showed plenty of promise when third on debut at Brighton earlier this month; did meet trouble on that occasion so that effort can be upgraded somewhat; sure to know more now so big chance here.
The NAP runs over at Ayr on Monday afternoon and I’m expecting the Mark Johnston-trained TURN BACK TIME to take a big step forward. She showed more than enough on debut to suggest she can take a race of this nature and with usual improvement I think she’ll take a lot of beating. Chelsea Annie has improved from debut to second run and can also do better so looks the danger. Fille De La Lune showed ability on debut and is also worth considering but I think the selection has the most potential in this field. Fifteen Summers is probably the pace angle but she should do better in nurseries further down the line. Newcomer Maggie’s Joy is likely to need this initial outing so is also passed over.

Windsor 8.40 Betty Crean L A (9/4)
Kingman filly who took a big step forward to open her account at Sandown last time; Salisbury third also worked out well since; more to come so no surprise to see her serve it up to these and win again; keep on side.
This is a good race for a small field and I’m keen to side with BETTY CREAN L A for David Menuisier. This Kingman filly improved to beat some good horses at Sandown and with the promise of further progress she could take a lot of stopping again. She makes her handicap debut off a mark of 79 and I’ll be surprised if that isn’t within reach. Companionship is the obvious threat as she is by Galileo and has already shown a solid level of form. She steps back up in trip and should be capable of more so looks the danger. One Small Step wasn’t entirely disgraced when fifth at Newmarket and also shouldn’t be entirely ruled out but will need to bounce back and show her best form to trouble them.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Ayr and Windsor on Monday.
