Pontefract 4.10 Regal Reality (5/6)
Smart horse who is the clear class angle in here and he took a big step back in the right direction when beaten less than 3 lengths in the Summer Mile at Ascot last time; if he can keep a lid on it he should have too much for these.
Just the 3 meetings on Sunday but still some good racing and I’m hopeful the classy REGAL REALITY can get back to winning ways. This son of Intello is comfortably clear on ratings and he showed something to work on last time. He hasn’t contested Listed company since chasing home Mountain Angel this time last year. He is a class above this lot and he should have too much. Hopefully The Flying Ginger and Azano go a good clip as that will help him settle and then the rest should take care of itself. Brunch is the obvious danger but he has a bit to prove after disappointing somewhat in the Royal Hunt Cup last time. Rhoscolyn comfortably best of the rest.

Uttoxeter 4.00 Back On The Lash (15/8)
Likeable type who showed a good attitude to get his head back in front at Ludlow and backed that up with a gutsy win over C&D in May; not so good in a fiercely competitive race last time; this easier and sure to go close.
With Pinnacle Peak a non runner we have replaced the NB with BACK ON THE LASH at Uttoxeter. This horse has been in great form and I’m willing to put a line through that last run as it was a tough ask and he never really got competitive. Back down in trip in much calmer waters I think he’ll get back on track here and he can make it 3 wins from his last 4. The money has been relentless as he opened up around 9/2 last night. I know Sizing Cusimano has since come out but the money has all been one way and he looks likely to go off favourite now. Rhythm Is A Dancer won at Stratford last time but he doesn’t always back up performances and I think he might be opposable. Thistle Do Nicely the danger.
