Race 6 Thistledown 8.21 Buckeye Bling (6/5)
Promising filly who ran a cracker denied just a length on penultimate start before highly tried last time, not disgraced in fifth; this much easier and she remains open to further improvement so big chance to get back on track.
The US NAP was back in the winners enclosure last night so hopefully we can get another run of winners together as we start a new week. We head to Thistledown where BUCKEYE BLING should take the beating. This filly has been progressing nicely and was pitched in at the deep end last time so can be forgiven that effort. Back in calmer waters here I think she can take full advantage and looks the one they all have to beat as the market is suggesting. She has only actually had 6 starts so there should be lots more to come yet. Scarlett’s Awish won head in chest over 5f here last month and looks the danger but I doubt she’ll get it all her own way here so she will need to find more from somewhere.

Race 4 Finger Lakes 7.37 Simbasalltrouble (6/4)
Tough and likeable sort who comes here chasing a hat-trick after pulling out more to win again over the extended 5f here last time; this easier and if he turns up in the same form he should get all of these at it; most likely winner.
The US NB also landed last night so confidence is high heading into a new week. The hat-trick seeking SIMBASALLTROUBLE looks hard to oppose at Finger Lakes tonight. He was very impressive on penultimate start and followed up in determined fashion last time. A reproduction of any of those runs would see him come out on top here as it looks a very winnable race. No Sense is probably the danger as he has been knocking on the door recently so another good run looks assured. Old Man Winter ties in closely with that form and is relatively unexposed so also deserves a second look. Hard to see anything else proving good enough but Unwavering is probably the best of them.
