THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS ON THE AW AT KEMPTON ON MONDAY AFTERNOON!
Kempton 3.50 Golden Bugle (11/8)
Well bred filly who improved to open her account at Doncaster in June, showing a good attitude to make all; took form up a notch on handicap debut getting there easily enough despite racing keenly; up 5lb but more to come so big chance.
I’m struggling to look past GOLDEN BUGLE here for John and Thady Gosden. This Golden Horn filly is improving all the time and that was a convincing performance at Newbury last time. She is up 5lb but looks sure to do better and I think she has found a good opportunity to follow up. Goolwa opened her account over this C&D in May and while she has been beaten twice since she only went down a head at Ascot last time and looks the main danger to the favourite. Hyanna is a decent mare and while I can see her running well and giving her all she is up against some real improvers now so it’s a tough ask. Horsefly was progressing nicely but did disappoint behind the fav last time.

Newcastle 4.33 Raise The Roof (2/1)
Free Eagle filly who left debut run behind to win at Wolverhampton in February; given a bit of time since but lots to like about her comeback win over the same track and trip last month; makes handicap debut now and hard to beat.
This looks a good opportunity for the likeable and progressive RAISE THE ROOF to bring up the hat-trick. This further step up in distance should unlock further improvement and she is one I want to keep on side now tackling handicap company off a mark of 83. She’s proven on Tapeta and ticks plenty of boxes so deserves to be favourite. American Pharoah colt Beating All needs to bounce back but had also looks promising prior to that poor run at Chester. Similar comments apply to Tricolore but I actually think he could be the danger as he has been gelded now so could take another step forward. Pallas Dancer finds plenty off the bridle but I’ll be surprised if he has the class to take this.
Daily Double
