THE US NAP (BEST BET) WON AGAIN LAST NIGHT AND IS NOW ON AN EIGHT-TIMER!

Race 7 Arlington Park 10.49 Santa Barbara (10/11)

Improving filly who bounced back from her Epsom Oaks run when denied just a neck in the Pretty Polly; built on that again to overcome trouble in the Belmont Oaks, finishing fast; capable of better again and hard to oppose here.

The US NAP landed again overnight as Get Hammered justified strong support to score at Arlington. We have now landed seven winners in a row and are going for an EIGHT-TIMER tonight. We stick at Arlington and I’m looking forward to seeing SANTA BARBARA in the Beverly D Stakes. This filly is progressing fast and despite trouble in-running in the Belmont Oaks she was firmly on top at the finish. She is still improving and with more to come can take care of this field as talented as it is. Mean Mary arrives chasing a hat-trick but this is another step up and she has fallen short at this level in the past. Still looks the biggest danger. Naval Laughter looks promising and also has to be considered.

Race 10 Saratoga 11.13 Raging Bull (15/8)

Likeable type who returned better than ever with a convincing win at the top level at Keeneland in the Maker’s Mark Mile back in April; backed that up going down just a head to the talented Oleksandra last time; will be finishing best.

Blowout has been in good form and did dominate rivals in a Grade 2 at Churchill Downs last time but she is going to need more on that to hold off the late kick of stablemate RAGING BULL here. The latter will relish it if they go hard and as long as he is within range turning in it’s hard to see how he won’t pick them up. His form stacks up and that head defeat to Oleksandra at Belmont last time was a very good run again. He can find trouble but with just 8 runners lining up I’ll be surprised if he is denied a run here. Set Piece also likes to come from off the pace and looks the danger as he bids to land a four-timer. He is bumping into better horses here though I think so will need more.
