Hamilton 4.50

There may only be 5 runners for this novice but it looks ultra competitive. I am going to side with EDWARD CORNELIUS who carries a penalty for a win at Musselburgh on debut. That was quite a taking debut run and he ran well over that course and distance again at the start of the month finishing a close second. He has the most consistent form in good races and is the one to beat in this.

The fillies Kyber Crystal and Jilly Cooper are the main dangers on their previous form with the preference for the former after she ran behind Ebro River on debut which is solid form and went well on her last run at Carlisle. She gets plenty of weight from her rivals and is most likely to put it up to Edward Cornelius.

Edward Cornelius 11/8

Hamilton 5.20

Mews House stayed on in likeable fashion to get up and score by a nose at Catterick on debut for this yard but he isn’t certain to back that up going back up in trip now and I think MUATADEL looks better value. The latter won over this C&D as recently as June and is just 1lb higher now. He shaped with encouragement when third to Absolute Dream at Redcar and built on that to finish second to a progressive sort in Lord P at Thirsk last time. The visor goes back on now and I think this looks a winnable race so he is sure to go close.

Stronsay has also won over this C&D before and has to be considered but at a bigger price I think Rose Bandit could run well down in grade. She has won at this track before and looks too big in the betting considering how weak this looks. Oakenshield won at Yarmouth but was really disappointing at Bath so has enough to prove as a result.

Hamilton 5.20

Muatadel 4/1 each way

Hamilton 5.50

I thought this race might attract a few more with a £20,000 pot on offer but it just gives a horse we have followed plenty this season successfully a better chance of winning. I’M A GAMBLER won well over course and distance before winning again at Catterick. He tried to the land the hat-trick in a good race at York with a 2 day break which proved too much of an ask. Back in this company he will take all the beating off a mark of 84.

Ryan’s Party is potentially a big improver on handicap debut and could be the danger if stepping forward from his win here 2 weeks ago. Bay Breeze ran behind the selection at Carlisle and could make up the top 3.

Hamilton 6.20

Another small field with just the 6 runners heading to post and I think INNSE GALL is going to take a bit of beating. This son of Toronado clocked a career best winning at Ayr last month. He is up 5lb but his form before that stacks up and he has scope to do better. This should be run at a good clip and I think that will suit him as he is a strong travelling sort who will move into the race nicely. He has only had 8 starts so I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t keep progressing at least for the time-being.

Riches And Rubies also has potential and won nicely at Beverley last month. She is up 3lb but can also do better and looks the biggest danger to the selection. Of the rest Real Terms looked a bit tapped for toe in a good race at Musselburgh last time and might be best of the rest.

Hamilton 6.50

An interesting little race with plenty of dual purpose horses taking their chance but the two who have focused on the Flat look to have it between them. I am siding with FORZA ORTA who has had 4 runs and come second in all of them. He went very close on his last two runs including on his handicap debut. He likely has plenty to come and will go very close off the same mark as his last run.

Doctor Parnassus has had a few more chances but some of his recent time figures suggest he is a top performer and whilst he may not be the best handicapped in here you can expect him to run well and give the selection most to think about.

Hamilton 6.50

Forza Orta 1/1

Hamilton 7.20

Mark’s Choice was really unlucky at Ripon yesterday so hopefully we can get back on track at Hamilton tonight. VALUE TIP has done well since switching to this yard and missed by just a short head over 5f here last month. She was briefly denied a run before running on strongly in the closing stages and only just failed to get up. She goes back up to 6f now and is up just 2lb so should prove hard to beat.

I’d have her favourite over Ey Up It’s Maggie. The latter looks better over 5f to me so might be vulnerable in the final furlong. She ran well over the minimum at York’s Ebor meeting last time and while this is easier she could just be bumping into a filly who is thriving in Iris Dancer. Princess Power ran at Epsom yesterday so is unlikely to be turned out for this.

Hamilton 7.50

This looks a relatively weak event to cap off the card at Hamilton on Wednesday and HOT TEAM gets a marginal vote. He has put together a string of solid efforts in better races at Chester. Now back to Hamilton where he has won over course and distance before he should be the one to beat off a mark of just 60.

The race isn’t that deep so dangers are limited but Temper Trap could be the best of the rest on his form at the track and back down to a mark of 55 he will run a better race than when last seen.
