NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) WON YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT HAYDOCK ON SUNDAY!
Haydock 6.55 Emaraty Hero (2/1)
Lightly raced for his age and has taken a big step forward this season winning both starts impressively; found plenty for pressure at York and stayed on strongly to win going away in the end; unpenalised for that and should relish this test.
I’m surprised EMARATY HERO is available to back at 2/1 at Haydock on Sunday. This son of Lope De Vega is chasing a hat-trick after winning impressively again at York last week. He won going away in the end and while this is quite a drastic step up in trip he looks all about stamina and I think he can bring up the hat-trick here. Snowalot is a likeable type and he was always coming home best to win at Goodwood last time. The second Ravens Ark is a useful yardstick so that’s good form. He is the obvious danger to the selection and I’m confident they are the forecast. Goobinator clocked a career best at York and a 4lb rise looks fair given the form has worked out well. Looks best of the rest.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) WON YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT BATH ON SUNDAY!
Bath 2.15 Goldenhurst (11/4)
Improving colt who took a big step forward when denied narrowly at Brighton on penultimate start and progressed again to record a career best winning easily here at the start of the month; more to come now and should follow up.
I liked the way GOLDENHURST won here last time and given the clock backed up that visual performance I think he can go in again switched back into a nursery. This track clearly suited him well last time and I think he has plenty in favour again. I’m surprised he opened as big as he did to be honest as this looks very winnable and I’m fully expecting him to follow up. Therehegoes struck over C&D in July and has knocked on the door since so looks the obvious danger to the selection. Brown Owl is quite a big price and might be value to hit the frame. She has cheekpieces on for the first-time so if they bring about any improvement that will put her right in the mix.
