NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 4 AT ARLINGTON ON THURSDAY NIGHT!
Race 4 Arlington 9.47 City Drifter (6/4)
Promising colt who has improved since switching back to turf winning his last two in convincing style, coming with a sustained challenge to get up last time; lightly raced so more to come and hat-trick beckons here.
This looks a great chance for CITY DRIFTER to make it three straight. He showed a good attitude to prevail on penultimate start and then came with a big run late to get up and win by 2 lengths at the line last time. He is improving all the time and with more to come gets a confident vote to bring up the hat-trick. Upbeat Melody is likely to set the speed and that should give him a nice target to run down in the closing stages. Etched In Stone has been behind the selection the last twice and has enough to find to try and reverse those placings now. Richy was actually behind the pair of them on penultimate start but did run well when third last time and might improve to give the fav a race here.

Race 8 Woodbine 9.53 Polar Appeal (7/4)
Lightly raced filly who improved to go down just a head on penultimate start, looking a bit unlucky; didn’t get the best run last time; this notably easier and with more to come she should have too much for these rivals.
The unexposed POLAR APPEAL has found a nice opportunity at Woodbine tonight. I’m happy to put a line through that last effort as I don’t think it went to plan and given this represents a big drop in grade she can finally shed the maiden-tag at the sixth time of asking. Rosa’s Soul and Devine Dancing will go a good gallop and that should help her. She will just look to track them through in this big field before hopefully getting first run on her main market rivals. Blu Sky Sunrise might top the list as she stepped forward to finish second over 7f here last time and a similar effort to that would see her in the shake-up. Overstate needs to show more but might do here as well.
