Race 3 Golden Gate Fields 10.45 Love’em N Leave’em (10/11)

Promising colt who was fast away and always dictating winning on debut over track and trip last month, galloping out well at the line; will improve from that and looks well placed to make it a perfect 2-2 here.

I’ll be surprised if they can live with LOVE’EM N LEAVE’EM at Golden Gate tonight. This colt put up a smart effort to win first-time out over track and trip last month. He was quick to lead and set fast fractions before kicking on the turn for home. He lengthened nicely at the line and it was a very convincing performance. With more to come he is hard to get away from and should remain unbeaten before going on to better things. Dr Pescado also made a bright start winning easily on debut but that was in an easier event and he might struggle to reproduce that here. Love Candy has won 2 from 3 so has more experience to draw on but probably lacks the potential of the favourite.

Race 8 Belmont Park 9.44 November Rein (1/1)

Likeable filly who overcame a stumble at the start to make virtually all at Saratoga last month; won both starts since missing a neck on debut; form is progressive and with more to come can bring up the hat-trick.

There’s lots to like about NOVEMBER REIN here and I think she’ll confirm that latest piece of form with Velvet Sister. The latter had every chance to have a crack at her in the straight but she kept digging in and was strong at the line. This step up to 7f suits her better if anything and she should win again. The market is very much saying that too. Classy Edition made a winning start coming from off the pace to win by over 6 lengths at Saratoga. She has to be feared off the back of that but obviously she is pitched into the deep end here and is going to need to improve a chunk to get competitive. Still a lively danger. Shesawildjoker won on debut beating the fav but was thrashed last time.
