Race 10 Churchill Downs 10.26 Beau Liam (10/11)

Exciting colt who is a perfect 3-3 and really impressed last time dictating throughout and powering clear; ready for this step up into graded company now and looks one to keep firmly on side not only today but going forward.

This is a good race with strength in depth but BEAU LIAM could be a very smart colt indeed. He hacked up on debut leaving Atoka standing in second. He wasn’t at his best next time at Saratoga but I think he won despite inexperience and he improved again to win by 6 lengths last time. There should be even more to come now stepping up to a mile and he ticks plenty of boxes. If he is as good as I think he is he will take care of these no problem. Aloha West has won 3 of his last 4 and looks a nice colt too but this is tougher and he could just be bumping into one in the shape of the selection. Rushie has some decent form in the book but he hasn’t been seen to best effect recently.

Race 5 Belmont Park 8.06 Vindictive (1/1)

Progressive colt who has won both starts since debut and beat a better field than this at Saratoga last time; sure to keep improving and if he gets a good pace to run down he should have too many gears for these.

I have no doubt VINDICTIVE is the one to beat here. He is a colt firmly on the upgrade and impressed again last time to get up comfortably close home. He is still learning his trade so this looks another stepping stone before going on to better things in time. Letmeno is the obvious pace angle in the race and he shouldn’t be underestimated with 2 wins from his last 3. He did blow out last time though so has a bit to prove but I wouldn’t want to see him get loose on the lead. You’re To Blame is exposed compared to the selection but if he brought his best form he would be a danger. Air Attack should come on for that reappearance run but certainly needs to if he is to land a blow in this contest.
