THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS OVER JUMPS AT FAKENHAM ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON!
Fakenham 2.13 Howdyalikemenow (10/11)
Travelled strongly and jumped well when routing the opposition at Stratford on debut for this yard at the start of the month; turned out quickly under a penalty but open to further improvement and looks the one to beat.
There was lots to like about the way HOWDYALIKEMENOW bolted up at Stratford on return and with the promise of more to come he gets a confident vote to come out on top. That run suggests he has turned a corner now and he could go from strength to strength now. Auditoria looks the obvious danger in this four runner race having shaped with promise in both starts over timber. She can improve too but might just be bumping into one here. Blue Ribbon has disappointed since winning at Worcester and will need the first-time blinkers to spark him back into life to have any sort of a chance here. Jack Ryan is the outsider of the field and is hard to recommend given he achieved little on the Flat.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS ON THE FLAT AT REDCAR ON FRIDAY!
Redcar 4.25 Cape Sunset (6/4)
Promising type who showed plenty of ability when an encouraging third on debut at Windsor; given time since but likely to have improved and looks to have found a good opportunity to go a couple of places better here.
Given CAPE SUNSET was slowly into stride on debut I thought he shaped with a great deal of promise to stay on into third late. The winner has made his mark in handicap company since and looks a useful colt so the form has been nicely franked. The second also won her next start gamely at Lingfield which gives the form plenty of substance. He is going to be a lot sharper here and I think he has a great chance of going a couple of places better. Bakr won at Kempton 8 months ago and should do better but this won’t be easy under a penalty. Dream A Little is bred to be pretty useful and ran well when third at Kempton so could also take a step forward and is probably the main danger to the favourite.
