NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS OVER JUMPS AT KEMPTON ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON!
Kempton 3.15 Silver Streak (4/5)
Smart hurdler who won this race impressively last year setting a new track record in the process; won the Christmas Hurdle over C&D too beating Epatante; loves it here and going to take all the beating again.
Given SILVER STREAK has won the past two renewals of this race and broke the track record last year he is extremely hard to get away from even with Sceau Royal lining up here. He simply loves it around here and even beat Champion Hurdler Epatante in the Christmas Hurdle Christmas last year. It should be a good race between the pair but ready preference is for Evan Williams loveable grey. Teqany finished second to Sceau Royal in the Elite Hurdle at Wincanton when last seen in this sphere and has his work cutout to reverse that form. Aleatoric just looks completely outclassed and showed zilch when pulled up at Southwell. Likely to end up tailed off here against some really good horses.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS OVER IN IRELAND AT NAAS ON SUNDAY!
Naas 5.05 Barrington Court (15/8)
Talented mare who landed back-to-back wins over C&D this time last year; nothing wrong with her fourth to Twilight Payment in a Group 3 at the Curragh when last seen in August; obvious chance of getting her head back in front here.
Jessica Harrington has probably been a bit frustrated not to be able to get BARRINGTON COURT out due to the fast ground. She is a very talented mare and with enough rain overnight the ground looks ideal at a track she acts really well at. She has done really well since switched to the Flat and came from well off the pace to win again over C&D this time last year. There should be plenty of pace on here and I think she’ll be finishing better than anything under Shane Foley. Ger Lyons probably has the danger in Thunder Kiss. Her recent form figures of 121422 are very consistent and she should get competitive. Zawara was a good fourth at Leopardstown and also deserves a second look in a good race.
