Ayr 3.40 Grey Atlantic Way (6/4)
Ran out an impressive winner at Sedgefield last time, staying on strongly and soon in the clear; up 8lb but hard to oppose off the back of that and even though it’s a small field he should get a good pace to aim at; most likely winner.
The way GREY ATLANTIC WAY won at Sedgefield was mightily impressive for the grade and if he is in the same form here he should win this easily. He is up 8lb but he is still weighted to go in again. He still made a few mistakes last time but hit the line virtually on the bridle. Hopefully he can jump a bit slicker as if he does I can see him coming there cantering again. Event Of Sivola has form good enough to make himself a presence here but we haven’t seen him for 211 days and he has needed his return run in the past so should come on for it. Eagle Ridge is a 10yo now and needs to find more. Slainte Mhor won over C&D in the spring and while he hasn’t built on it he might still be the danger.

Newcastle 8.30 Millionaire Waltz (15/8)
Back to form out the blue over C&D last time but did so impressively and a 6lb higher mark won’t be enough to anchor him if in the same form; remains lightly raced and looks well placed to follow up; worth keeping on side.
There was lots to like about the way MILLIONAIRE WALTZ came storming through to win easily over C&D last time. The field was well strung out in behind and a 6lb higher mark looks workable. There should be good pace on from the likes of Listen Again and Khazaf and hopefully he gets nicely settled off the pace again before picking his way through. Debated was a creditable third here last time and should get competitive again. He is one of the dangers but is still vulnerable for win purposes. Lucayan scored at Yarmouth in July and wasn’t disgraced last time so also looks one of the threats. Like the selection he’ll appreciate it if they do go hard early. Not much strength in depth in this field.
