Newcastle 4.00
This looks a great chance for ONE NIGHT IN MILAN to win again. He showed a great attitude to prevail at Ayr earlier this month and backed that up with an excellent second over C&D last time. He went down just half a length to Victoriano and just looked to need a stronger gallop. With the likes of Jack Yeats and Dreambird likely to push forward here he should get an end-to-end gallop which will see him to better effect. He is off an unchanged mark and everything points towards a big run again.
First Charge left his reappearance run behind to win readily at Wolverhampton over this trip last time. He is up 4lb but has 3lb claimer Oisin McSweeney booked for the ride so if in the same form could easily be the biggest danger. Nataleena always has to be respected here as she loves this C&D and I thought she ran creditably when fourth last time. Probably a good bet to hit the frame.
Newcastle 4.35
This looks a very open race with plenty in with chances with SOPHOSC getting the narrow vote. He ran his best race for a while last time at Kempton when stepped back up to a mile and a half. That was just his second run at the trip and he should have scope for further improvement and will go well again. He is only up 3lb and that looks perfectly manageable to me in a race like this.
Tommy R is the main danger as he is in great form and ran well at the track last time out. He may not have as much wiggle room in his handicap mark as the selection based on that run but should still go well. At a bigger price Archive has won over this C&D before and he was a creditable fourth last time having been slowly away so could figure in a weak race.
Newcastle 5.10
Plenty in with chances here and it’s hard to split any of the top 4 in the betting to be honest. I want to give MS GANDHI another chance for Roger Varian. This Kingman filly looked a nice prospect winning at Ripon in the summer and while she has been beaten twice since that has come in tougher races than this and back on the AW tonight I think she could bounce back. She still has potential to rate a lot higher and I’m expecting a big run and at a fair price.
Gal Wonder was beaten just a head at Newmarket last time and has to be considered on that form. Highwaygrey was second Living Legend at Pontefract last time and probably needs to improve on that but some of his form stacks up so I don’t expect him to be far away either. Purple Ribbon is unexposed and also has to be feared on handicap debut.
Newcastle 5.40
I did initially like the newcomer Sea Speedwell but she has been taken out now so I think it’s a great chance for Mark Johnston’s ENFRANCHISE to follow up. This Invincible Spirit filly stepped forward from an encouraging debut run to win at Pontefract last time. She made all on that occasion and always looked in her comfort zone, doing more than enough at the finish. She will improve again so looks tough to oppose.
Lightening Company made a winning start at Carlisle but failed to match that at Catterick last time. He is definitely a danger though as he has clocked some decent time-figures. Global Walk needs to improve but has been backed now so connections are anticipating improvement.
Newcastle 6.10
Plastic Paddy is certainly on the up with 2 wins from his last 3 and I wouldn’t put you off but he does have a 6lb penalty here and I think this is tougher. I’m going to stick with BRINGITONBORIS given I waited so long for him to win again. That was a career best last time over C&D and I think it comes down to him being in the same mood rather than a 4lb rise stopping him from following up. He has to be the play at 9/2 with Plastic Paddy too short now at 7/4.
Rich Dream certainly isn’t out of it either with just 4 runs to his name. He is the most unexposed in the line-up and has to be feared. Invincibly opened his account at Ayr last time and with that form franked he might be a bit overpriced but again this is ultra competitive.
Newcastle 6.40
Another very open handicap with 12 heading to post. SPARTAN FIGHTER gets the nod here as he seems to do all his best work over course and distance with some very good time figures. He went well here 2 weeks ago to finish a close-up third and gets to run off the same mark. If in the same form he will go very close and even at the time of writing there is a fair bit of market support for him.
Run This Way impressed last time out at Pontefract and if in the same form on the surface and under a penalty she will be the danger. Of the rest Another Dawn and Next Victory are likely to have a big say. Blackheath is often nibbled at but hasn’t won for a while even though he is becoming well treated.
Newcastle 7.10
I think standard-setter COVER NAME will be hard to beat here despite her four runner-up finishes. She has more to come and this looks a good opportunity for her to go one better. The fact Dabirstar is her closest rival in the betting says a lot about the quality of this race and I’ll be surprised even with the drift if she doesn’t take this. She will go forward and should take a lot of catching in such a winnable race.
Dabirstar was pulled up at Southwell last time and has been given time since. If she bounces back she will be thereabouts but her profile is far from convincing for me and I think she’s opposable. Silver Bubble has a first-time visor and goes back up in trip and might be the value play to finish second.

Another decent card from Newcastle on Tuesday night and we have included a Lucky 15 which includes our four strongest bets tonight. Hopefully we can land at least 3 winners to make some nice profit. Pays 50/1!
