THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 10 AT KEENELAND ON SATURDAY NIGHT!
Race 10 Keeneland 10.48 Famed (10/11)
Promising filly who made a really bright start beaten just a length on debut at Churchill Downs in a stronger race than this; sure to improve from that and likely to take all the beating here; could be a smart prospect in time.
This looks a great opportunity for FAMED to open her account. She couldn’t have done much more on debut without winning going down just a length at the line and with usual improvement she should find enough to win this. On paper at least it looks a slightly easier contest so there really shouldn’t be any excuses and I’m pleasantly surprised she isn’t long odds-on for this. Halo Of Fire showed some ability on debut but stepped forward to finish second over 6f here last time and with more to come up to 7f she could easily be the one to chase the selection home. Catwings was given a lot to do on debut and is expected to show up better here while Gun Slingin is the most interesting debutant.

Race 3 Woodbine 6.55 Ironstone (6/4)
Progressive colt who quickly improved to win by a wide margin over the extended 6f here in the summer; just as good back from a short break winning by 6 lengths back down in trip last time; more to come and hard to get away from.
The hat-trick seeking IRONSTONE should take plenty of beating at Woodbine on Saturday night. This colt is firmly on the upgrade and with the step up to 7f likely to bring about further progression he looks a great bet to make it 3 in a row. Hicksy was also an impressive winner over 6f here last time and he looks the danger with more to come. I expect the pair to finish the 1-2 and to be honest be a cut above the rest. At a bigger price Optigogo is quite a big price given he made a winning start. I know this is much tougher and more competitive but we don’t know how good he could be yet so might be worth an each way saver. Heat Merchant had looked promising prior to blowing out on turf.
