NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) LANDED YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT CARLISLE ON SUNDAY!
Carlisle 2.00 Espoir De Romay (11/8)
Progressive over hurdles and made a bright start over fences winning at Huntingdon; bumped into Royale Pagaille at Haydock; impressive at Leicester before falling when going best at Aintree; goes well fresh and should win.
The NAP was back in the winners enclosure on Saturday as Bay Bridge won impressively enough again. He is a horse really going up through the grades! We head over Jumps on Sunday and ESPOIR DE ROMAY catches the eye at Carlisle. He ran out a mightily impressive winner at Leicester and I thought he was going best when coming down in a Grade 1 at Aintree. He still has tons of potential and connections will be hopeful he can make a winning return here. Ahoy Senor made all in the Sefton and has a future in this sphere but this is a really tough ask and I’m surprised they’ve decided to come here against a horse with more experience. Fiddlerontheroof should give his running as well.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) WON YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT HUNTINGDON!
Huntingdon 2.50 Millers Bank (2/1)
Smart hurdler who trounced them at Newbury before improving again in defeat to chase home Abacadabras and Buzz in a Grade 1 at Aintree on final start; more to come now chasing and gets a strong vote to come out on top.
I do think Cadzand will have a bright future over fences and he is feared but MILLERS BANK was on a steep upward curve over hurdles when last seen and I think he’ll make a winning chase debut here. He defied odds of 80/1 to finish third to Abacadabras at Aintree at the top level and was only beaten 3 and a half lengths. He has the build of a chaser and I think he’ll make a winning start here. It’s not just a two-horse race as Champagnesuperover also has potential if bouncing back. He was last seen pulling up at Aintree but has potential to do well over fences. The Cathal Don won well at Tipperary and at least has experience on side but this is much tougher.
