NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS OVER JUMPS AT EXETER ON TUESDAY!
Exeter 2.25 Threeunderthrufive (11/10)
Likeable type who progressed nicely over hurdles winning four times and returned with a promising run when second to a subsequent winner at Chepstow last month; sure to improve and yard do well in this race so hard to oppose.
I thought THREEUNDERTHRUFIVE shaped with a great deal of promise on his chase debut at Chepstow last month. He just got racing a bit too soon and was eventually picked off by Does He Know. That horse has since followed up in good style at Cheltenham so the form has a strong look to it. He is definitely going to improve from that initial effort and this looks a good opportunity for him to go one better. Honest Vic finished a place behind the selection last time but there was only a head between them. He is probably the one that will give him most to think about again. Ask A Honey Bee was only beaten a length by Lord Accord on debut over fences at Uttoxeter and also has a future in this sphere.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS ON THE AW AT LINGFIELD ON TUESDAY!
Lingfield 3.05 Shamlaan (2/1)
Promising colt who improved again to win a nursery over C&D when last seen; since switched yards and remains open to further improvement up just 3lb; should get a good pace to aim at again and will be finishing best.
With the promise of more to come SHAMLAAN can win again at Lingfield on Tuesday. He clocked a career best last time and with further progression likely on debut for his new yard he can defy a 3lb rise in the weights. He will be ridden quietly and should come through strongly in the closing stages under Probert who is usually a good judge of pace. Reversion improved to win at Sandown but completely blew out at Haydock last time on handicap debut. If he bounces back he’ll be the danger but he does have enough to prove off the back of that. Fair And Square was a good third in the first-time blinkers at Wolverhampton and should hit the frame again if backing that performance up here.
