Lingfield 3.07 Siroco Jo (10/11)
Good looking chestnut who won well at Newbury on return despite still not looking the finished article; goes unpenalised for that so obvious chance to follow up turned out quickly; should keep improving with experience.
The Flat jockeys get a chance over jumps here and it’s Kevin Stott I fancy to come out on top on the flashy SIROCO JO for trainer Paul Nicholls. This horse has a likeable way of going and did it with plenty to spare at Newbury last week. He goes unpenalised for that victory as it came in a conditional jockeys’ race so he has leading claims in this field. Albert Van Ornum showed ability in maiden hurdles and is the type to do better in handicaps so is probably the one to give the fav most to think about under Darragh Keenan. Bashful Boy is a solid yardstick and he didn’t shape badly at Cheltenham before improving to go close at Plumpton so also deserves a second look.

Hereford 1.52 Steinkraus (5/4)
Progressive sort who caught the eye going down just a neck at Carlisle last month and improved again to win readily at Ayr last time, just pushed out at the finish; 7lb rise looks perfectly fair and this stiffer test should prove ideal.
The two last time out winners should fight this one out with ready preference for STEINKRAUS for Donald McCain. He did it really well at Ayr and even with a 7lb rise I think he is a massive contender to go in again. He will appreciate this stiffer test and he gets the vote. Hidden Depths won over C&D last time but this looks tougher and he is up 4lb. Can run well but I much prefer to side with the favourite. Cry Wolf sprung a 50/1 surprise winning on hurdles debut at Worcester in the summer and has placed twice since so looks consistent and shouldn’t be that far away either. Wrong Way Harry found just the one too good at Listowel but needs to step forward a fair bit from that again here.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Hereford and Lingfield on Tuesday afternoon.
