Not a bad race to kick off the card at Fakenham on Tuesday with all 3 of the runners who have previous form looking to have plenty of potential. MISS MULLIGAN gets a narrow vote after a very good second on hurdles debut. She still looked like she was learning plenty and will almost certainly improve for that run and go well here.
Both Auditoria and Pollypockett look threats with the former having a fitness edge so could be the main danger. She has been second by small margins in all her hurdles starts and deserves to get her nose in front. Pollypockett ran well in 2 bumpers with a win and a third and if improving over hurdles will be right there as well.

The NAP could do with a winner so fingers crossed REBEL LEADER can bring up the hat-trick at Fakenham on Tuesday. He has looked an improved horse since going chasing running two eye-catching races at Uttoxeter and Market Rasen before getting off the mark in this sphere at Perth and then backing that up off a 4lb rise at Stratford. He is up another 5lb but that looks fair and he looks well placed to make it 3 in a row.
Bill And Barn impressed winning at Plumpton but that didn’t look a strong contest and the second Silver Nickel has been thrashed since so the form has taken a knock. Dubai Guest might pose a bigger threat as his yard are flying and he shaped a bit better at Worcester.

Only the 4 going to post for this race but it does look more competitive than the market suggests. Salley Gardens is the short-priced favourite at the time of writing but I think PRESENTING YEATS can make a race of it. He missed out on the hat-trick last time after never really travelling but still finished 2 lengths third. He has a change of headgear here and if on the form of his two wins prior to that race he will be bang there.
Salley Gardens has impressed over the last couple of months with 2 wins and a second with his last win looking really smart. He still has to prove it over this trip even though there is no reason he won’t stay but I am happy to take him on with the selection at over double the price.

To go as close as NOTEBOOK did back from 7 months off the track when runner-up at Ffos Las was a really encouraging effort. He was held up off the pace but made really good headway and was closing again at the line. The front pair came comfortably clear from the rest so it looks a solid piece of form. He is off an unchanged mark and this looks easier so I think he is a good bet to get the better of The Some Dance Kid.
The latter shaped better when fourth at Bangor and has had a wind op since so could step forward again. Little Light has the visor back on but for me she still needs to show more and I think the selection will have too much in the closing stages. Dream Du Grand Val was pretty poor at Lingfield on return and was pulled up on his only chase start at Exeter so is another one with another to prove coming here.

This doesn’t look the strongest of renewals and it gives MEGAN a decent chance of getting back to winning ways after a good run at Ascot in Listed company last time. This race is far weaker than that race and if in the same form she will be the one to beat. She will likely be ridden quietly so I can just seen her picking them off comfortably late on if all goes to plan through the race.
Sorbet has been running well in and around this mark and I am sure she will go well again but I am not sure she has much in hand. She’s likely to push forward and will face pace pressure from Talking About You which should play into the favourites hands as well.

Another small field and No Comment finds himself favourite at the time of writing. I thought he was given a very good ride by Sean Houlihan to score at Huntingdon and while he has a chance again he isn’t a certainty to back that up. I prefer the chances of QUOI DE NEUF for Evan Williams. I thought he shaped really well on chase debut when second to Canelo at Aintree and while he disappointing on his next two starts in this sphere he has been given time since and he could be well handicapped if bouncing back.
Xcitations also has a chance after an encouraging second on chase debut at Huntingdon. He should come on for that and I don’t expect him to be far away either. Major Dundee and The Golden Rebel shouldn’t be entirely dismissed either in an open race but they both have a bit to prove.
Fakenham 3.30
With no form to go on in the last at Fakenham I will have a small bet on RIO SILVA for Olly Murphy. Murphy has a very good record in bumpers and he won this race with the classy Washington last year. Rio Silva looks like the yards first string with Aidan Coleman riding her and the market is already proving positive as to her chances here so looks worth chancing.
Secret Trix for the same yard goes here and isn’t ruled out even if looking like the second string. Jamie Snowden runs Sea The Clouds who looks well bred and could be the main danger but might just need more time and experience.
