THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS OVER JUMPS AT LUDLOW ON MONDAY AFTERNOON!
Ludlow 2.00 Our Idic Boy (11/8)
Big horse who won impressively at Newcastle last week, going away at the finish with the field well strung out despite being 4lb out of the weights; 5lb higher but that unlikely to stop him; more to come and sure to go close.
Turned out quickly OUR IDIC BOY should take a lot of stopping at Ludlow on Monday. This big strapping horse created quite the impression winning as he liked at Newcastle last week. He did it in the style of a progressive horse and a penalty is unlikely to anchor him with potential to keep improving. Top Man built on previous promise taking advantage of a reduced mark up in trip at Plumpton last week and looks the main danger under a penalty too. It’s not just a two-horse race though with Art Of Diplomacy also having potential to run well if he comes on for that reappearance run at Sedgefield. Of the rest Racing Spirit ran better at Huntingdon but his overall profile is far from compelling.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT AYR ON MONDAY AFTERNOON!
Ayr 12.30 Ramble West (6/4)
Likeable mare who fairly routed the opposition winning by 21 lengths in a bumper at Musselburgh at the start of the month; went up through the gears and only had to be shaken up to go close; should improve again now hurdling.
The way RAMBLE WEST took the field apart in a bumper at Musselburgh was very impressive and with potential to do better now hurdling this Irish point recruit can follow up under Brian Hughes and make it 2-2 for Donald McCain. The yard continue in great form with a near 30% strike rate in the past fortnight which is another notably positive to her chances. Impressive Irish point winner Rae Des Champs is the most obvious danger on debut under Rules but she lacks experience so may be seen to better effect with more time under her belt. The market should be revealing to her chances so it will be worth keeping an eye on. Ailie Rose remains a maiden but shouldn’t be too far away either.
