Race 6 Zia Park 9.15 Country Club Cutie (10/11)

Lightly raced mare who took it up on the bridle to win impressively back from a monster layoff over 5 and a half furlongs here at the start of the month; can improve again and looks the one they all have to beat.

That was some training performance from Dallas Barton to have COUNTRY CLUB CUTIE fit and ready to fire back from a 1184 day absence. She looked a happy horse swinging in on the bridle before galloping clear. She is 2-2 at this track so clearly loves it and with scope to improve after just a handful of starts she gets a confident vote to come out on top again and follow up. Minnie Me Ha is probably the danger having ran well when second over slightly further here last time. I think she lacks the potential of the fav though and will need more to land a blow. Indian Diva has form that ties in with the latter and was a good third last time beaten just half a length so shouldn’t be too far away either.

Race 8 Mahoning Valley 9.07 Baby Yoda (6/4)

Progressive sort who won 3 of his first 4 starts before acquitting himself well in defeat when third in a Grade 2 at Belmont last month; this easier and still capable of further improvement so should take the beating.

I like the chances of BABY YODA at Mahoning Valley tonight. He ran well in graded company last time and this is a great deal easier. He can resume his progress and make it 4 wins from just 6 starts. I think Real Talk can emerge as the danger. This colt impressed on penultimate start and made that 2 from his last 3 before running behind Jackie’s Warrior last time. That was obviously a very good race so to be beaten 10 lengths was by no means a disgrace. This is easier and he can give the fav something to think about. I think the pair are a cut above the rest with Jaxon Traveler probably the best of them. He remains unexposed and won easily over this trip on penultimate start. This is tougher.
