Fairyhouse 1.05 My Mate Mozzie (5/2)
Promising type who hasn’t put a foot wrong so far over hurdles bolting up at Punchestown and then winning even more impressively at Navan with a subsequent winner left standing; deserves a crack at the top level.
This will undoubtedly be tougher for the likeable MY MATE MOZZIE stepping up to Grade 1 company now but the way he has won both starts over hurdles has looked very exciting and I think he can make it a perfect 3-3. He travels so strongly and is so fast over his hurdles he is going to get some good horses in trouble. If he continues to be as accurate as he has been then I think he can justify favouritism here. Mighty Potter made a bright start winning on hurdles debut at Down Royal and could be the danger. Three Stripe Life could also have a say but he won as he should have here last time and will need more to lay a glove on the classy My Mate Mozzie. It’s a good race and I can’t wait!

Leicester 3.00 Fanfan Du Seuil (4/1)
Back to form chasing home a progressive type when second at Huntingdon last month; backed that up with a solid third at Exeter and this test likely to suit better; this easier too so big chance if building on that.
Such a shame we’ve lost Carlisle today as it looked a decent card. We now head to Leicester for our NB (as original NB is now the NAP in Ireland) and FANFAN DU SEUIL is expected to go close. That third at Exeter last time wasn’t hugely convincing but I’m judging him more on that close second at Huntingdon and another run like that would see him go very close. The fact Seaborough is the second fav in this race says a lot about it’s quality. He hasn’t won since 2019 and would need everything to go his way and still might not want to put his head in front. Inn The Bull took advantage of a reduced mark at Huntingdon and wasn’t disgraced at Kempton so might emerge as a greater danger.
