NAP – Best selection of the evening

Sandown 2.25 Brave Kingdom (11/10)

Created a big impression winning his bumper impressively at Fontwell on debut under Rules and then won impressively on hurdles debut at Chepstow last month; only going to improve and looks a lovely prospect.

They couldn’t lay a glove on BRAVE KINGDOM at Chepstow and he looks another horse with considerable potential for Paul Nicholls to go to war with this season. He made all the running and kept pouring it on before finding himself in the clear. He is only going to improve from that initial experience and is hard to oppose this afternoon. He should make it a perfect 2-2 over hurdles and 3-3 under Rules before being targeted at bigger prizes. Fair Frontieres went close in a Navan maiden hurdle and came on from that to make a winning start for this yard at Worcester. He also has potential but might just be bumping into one on the day. Lossiemouth has won both starts this season but this tougher again.

Sandown 2.25 Brave Kingdom (11/10)

Exeter 2.05 Boothill (6/4)

Looked a horse to follow winning his bumper impressively at Kempton and made a successful start over hurdles powering away from them at Taunton; not disgraced at Ascot on return and looks an exciting chase recruit.

All eyes will be on the Harry Fry-trained BOOTHILL here as he bids to make a winning start over fences. His form stacks up over hurdles and if he can transfer that or even better it over the larger obstacles then he could have a very bright future indeed. He has always jumped his hurdles quite big so I think he’ll relish this test now. He still lacks experience but that could also be a good thing as it means we haven’t seen anywhere near his potential yet. Adrimel was pulled up on his final two starts over hurdles but his form did read well before that and he should also take to chasing so looks the danger. Elixir De Nutz isn’t one to give up on yet and it wouldn’t surprise me if he bounced back here.
