THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 7 AT GULFSTREAM PARK TONIGHT!

Race 7 Gulfstream Park 8.29 So Determined (6/5)

Promising colt who ran a cracker to finish a close second on debut, doing all his best work late; quickly improved to win impressively here last month; only going to improve again up in trip and looks hard to get away from.

This looks a great chance for SO DETERMINED to make it 2 wins from 3 starts before being targeted at bigger prizes. He is a colt on the upgrade judging by the way he won last time and this step up to 7f is only going to help given how strong he has been at the end of his two starts. Cyberviking prevailed by a head over 6f here last time and has 2 wins from 3 starts now so may well emerge as the danger if effective over this extra furlong. Clapton has been mixing it in better company than this but for me needs to improve to beat the selection. Biz Biz Buzz has shown plenty of ability on turf but he needs to transfer that to dirt here and probably has to step forward as well.

Race 6 Aqueduct 8.08 Untreated (6/4)

Improving colt who has won 2 of his 4 starts to date; back in the winners enclosure winning impressively over track and trip last month, drawing clear late; scope to improve again and well placed to follow up here.

This is quite a good race but even still I’m keen to side with last time out winner UNTREATED who impressed over C&D last month. He will strip fitter from that and this doesn’t look a great deal tougher as he saw off some promising types on that occasion as well. Mexican Wonder Boy certainly knows where the winning post is and could be the danger. He holds Lost In Rome on that last piece of form and has to be respected. Buy Land And See ran well on turf last time but needs to show he can mix it with these trying dirt now. Parsimony might be overpriced as some of his form is quite strong and while he’ll need to step forward there is good reason to think he might.
