NAP – Best selection of the evening

Doncaster 3.10 Dawn Of Liberation (1/1)

Churchill colt who is a half-brother to Toormore and improved on an encouraging debut effort to finish runner-up at York; stepped forward again when second at Newmarket; sets a solid standard and more to come now.

The Hannon yard have started the Flat season all guns blazing and DAWN OF LIBERATION can give them another winner at Doncaster on Sunday. This Churchill colt is well related being a half-brother to the classy Toormore and he looks sure to do better as a 3yo. He sets the standard on what he has achieved already and he is open to further improvement himself after just the 3 starts. Blueberry Hill was a big eye-catcher on debut mixing it with some subsequent winners but was expected to do better next time and could only manage third. More to come but might find the fav too strong here. Shigar has also shaped kindly and could get involved if improving on those efforts.

NAP

Doncaster 3.10 Dawn Of Liberation (1/1)

Doncaster 2.35 Barley (6/4)

Mehmas colt who certainly looked to need the experience when only midfield on debut at Wolverhampton; knew much more when denied just a short head at Nottingham when last seen; sets the standard and will improve further.

With the initial NB a non runner in Ireland we have a replacement running at Doncaster and the well backed BARLEY can justify favouritism for Martyn Meade. This Mehmas colt ran a cracker at Nottingham and looked a sure-fire winner off the back of that. With more to come he gets the vote to come out on top here with experience likely to count for plenty. Border Edge looks the most interesting of the debutants but he has already been gelded ahead of his first look at a racecourse. Castleberg Rock is also respected for a yard that is 3-10 with 3yo newcomers over the past 12 months. Caravaggio colt Maljoom is also worth a second look in the betting nearer to post time.
