Race 7 Aqueduct 9.27 Betsy Blue (5/4)

Promising filly who was back to her best winning on return and backed that up with another impressive display here last time; can do better again and very much one to keep on side; this doesn’t look any tougher so should win.

Since we’ve brought Stateside bets back they have struggled somewhat but this can happen until we get our eye in again. We head to Aqueduct tonight as we look to get our best bet back firing and the hat-trick seeking BETSY BLUE should take a bit of beating. She really impressed last time finding plenty to go clear late. She remains open to further improvement and looks to have plenty going for her again. Eloquent Speaker was disappointing last time but before that she had looked pretty useful so she could be the danger if managing to bounce back tonight. Rossa Veloce also has the form to be a player here but may just end up finding one or two too good at the business end.

Race 6 Sam Houston 12.28 Madison’s Place (5/4)

Tough mare who powered into the lead to win convincingly on penultimate start; far from disgraced when beaten just 2 lengths into second last time; step back up to 6f should suit and she looks the one to beat in this field.

I think as long as MADISON’S PLACE gets the fractions right she will be tough to beat back up to 6f tonight. This track should suit and her recent form is extremely hard to fault. Hopefully she can push forward early and secure the lead as if she does she shouldn’t be passed. Just My Imagination is on a four-timer but only lasted by a head last time and she is going to need to improve to extend her winning run. Texas Red Bel ran well when second last time closing nicely at the line and she could be best of the rest. Undefinable has only had the 2 starts and she showed a good attitude to prevail last time but she’ll need to improve again back on dirt against these as it won’t be easy.
