Race 6 Fairmount Park 9.21 Dancin At Midnight (5/4)

Progressive filly who won 2 of her last 3 to cap off last season and kicked clear impressively on final start; remains open to further improvement and this a good starting point before going on to better things.

This looks a good opportunity on paper for the improving DANCIN AT MIDNIGHT to make a winning return. She has won 2 of her last 3 and doesn’t lack speed so the drop back to 5f here shouldn’t hinder her. She has plenty of gears and I expect her to have too much for these rivals. Ghaaleb’s Magic ran below form when only third last time. She is better than that but might still be bumping into one here in the shape of the selection. Tiz Hoppin might emerge as a greater danger but she needs to reverse form from last year with Ghaaleb’s Appeal so I still think the fav has a definite edge. Louie P has ground to make up with the selection as well so looks held and the rest need more for sure.

Race 9 Philadelphia 9.31 Flimflam Man (13/8)

Likeable colt who drew clear with plenty in hand to make it 2 wins from his last 3 over track and trip when last seen out last month; more to come yet and this looks another decent opportunity to score.

We head to Philadelphia tonight for our second best bet Stateside and FLIMFLAM MAN can win again. His form is progressive now and this C&D suited him well when proving 5 and a half lengths too strong for his rivals last month. A similar performance like that would see him salute the judge again. Brett’s World is a tough yardstick and he continues to run to a very consistent level so might be the main danger. Super John has gone well fresh in the past and has been given a break since disappointing in a better race than this when last seen so also deserves a mention in here. Not a massive amount of strength in depth here so hard to recommend a great deal else in here.
