Hamilton 2.35 Gis A Sub (1/1)
Won nicely at Pontefract as a 2yo before excuses in a messy Richmond; big run bumping into Lusail at York; final start worth forgiving; should prove hard to beat here if back to his best on return; worth chancing.
With just the four runners heading to post GIS A SUB looks the one to beat. He is a smart colt who has the best form on offer having chased home Lusail at York. This looks winnable and if he goes off the front under Kevin Stott they might not see which way he goes. Mitbaahy was a good second on return at Nottingham and should strip fitter but I think he lacks the potential of the favourite and needs more. Edward Cornelius clocked a career best at Thirsk and has to be respected as well but this definitely demands more so he might be found out. The outsider of the field is Instinction but she has some 21lb to find with the favourite on ratings and that looks a big enough ask hence her price.

Salisbury 5.35 Rock Melody (6/4)
Promising filly who stayed on strongly to win hands and heels at Wolverhampton on final start as a 2yo; makes her handicap debut now and her opening mark looks to underestimate her; very good chance.
With Queen Aminatu now out this looks a great chance for ROCK MELODY to make a winning return. She only had to be pushed out to win at Wolverhampton when last seen and if fit and ready to roll on handicap debut she looks sure to go close. I’ve been impressed with Benoit De La Sayette and he claims a handy 7lb off her back which only strengthens her claim. Queen Aminatu undoubtedly would have been the one to beat but with her a non runner this looks very winnable now. Rousay is a good looking sort who definitely has a future so she should be one of the dangers along with Cityscape filly Centrallia but the latter might do better for the experience.
