Sea The Stars filly who is a perfect 2-2 after winning head in chest at Sandown on return last month in the style of a very exciting prospect; will improve again and should win this en route to the Oaks next month.
Gosden looks to have another promising filly on his hands in the shape of EMILY UPJOHN and they’ll be very hopeful she can win this before heading to the Oaks at Epsom next month. The yard usually target this race with a good one having been victorious with the likes of Star Of Seville, So Mi Dar and Shutter Speed in recent years. Going back a bit now but The Fugue also won this race and was a really smart horse. She really put daylight between herself and the rest at Sandown and with potential to improve again she is taken to have too much for Appleby’s Life Of Dreams. The latter impressed at Newbury but this is a fair step up and she lacks experience. The Algarve looks best of the rest.

York 4.10 Samburu (5/4)
Kingman colt who still looked to be learning on the job when making it 2-2 at Salisbury on return last month; sure to keep improving and his opening mark likely underestimates him; should take the beating.
The progressive SAMBURU holds a Group 1 entry at Royal Ascot so if he is to take that up he will want to be winning this and winning it well. An opening mark of 88 looks to underestimate him on what we’ve seen and I liked how he did it at Salisbury despite looking a little rough around the edges. He should be a lot more streetwise here and he gets a confident vote to deliver Gosden and Dettori another winner. I think he’ll switch him off early before looking to pick his way through in the closing stages. If he does do that we will need a bit of luck in-running to get the gaps but other than that I’m confident he’ll have too much for this field. The Cookstown Cafu might emerge as the main danger.
