Race 8 Gulfstream Park 9.59 Uno Tiger (15/8)

Progressive form in recent starts getting back to winning ways over C&D last month and then following up convincingly over the same track and trip last time; hat-trick very much on the cards; hard to oppose.

With a strong gallop likely to be set by Cuy the hat-trick seeking UNO TIGER should get a lovely target to run down in the closing stages. He has impressed the last twice and this is no tougher so he has obviously claims of making it 3 in a row. He was nicely on top at the finish last time and a similar performance should suffice. Race Craft won nicely on penultimate start but failed to back that up last time. If he bounces back he looks most likely to emerge as the danger to the favourite. American Ninja looked good over the winter but has gone off the boil a bit recently so also looks to have enough to prove on the balance of his form. Kitten’s Spa is another one to note but enough to find too.

Race 8 Santa Anita 12.50 Big Hand (9/4)

Big strong colt who loomed up going well on debut before staying on strongly to make a winning start; sure to improve from that initial effort and likely very hard to beat again as he looks to make it 2-2 now.

Following a 7 and a half length romp on debut BIG HAND looks well placed to make it 2-2 at Santa Anita on Sunday night. He impressed with how much daylight he managed to put between himself and rivals and with scope to really progress again he should have too much for these rivals. Bolden also made a bright start winning on debut over 5f and he could be the danger if getting this extra furlong tonight. We haven’t seen him for over 700 days though so evidently he hasn’t been the easiest to train. Scary Fast Smile is exposed but has been running up to a decent level recently so he has to be respected as well. Squalotoro has form that ties in with the latter but needs to be at his best to feature.
