Improving with experience and did well to make a winning debut on sole start as a 2yo before winning readily on return at Wetherby last month; goes handicapping now off what looks a lenient mark; can remain unbeaten.
I’ll be surprised if the progressive MONTASSIB doesn’t prove better than an opening mark of just 87 at Goodwood on Friday. He is clearly getting better with experience and I think as long as he handles the track he should have too much for these rivals. He is clearly the horse with the most potential in this field and with a bit of luck he can give us our FOURTH winning NAP in a row. The Attorney is likeable for Charlie Hills and if he returns in the same form that saw him win at Leicester and Lingfield before finishing runner-up twice at Newmarket he will definitely be the danger to the favourite. He has often needed his first run back though. Spanish Star possibly faring best of the rest.

Bath 3.30 Colombe (11/10)
Clocked a career best following wind surgery to make a winning return at Windsor on Monday, doing it easily; turned out quickly under a penalty and this looks easier if anything so should have these covered.
I think the quick turnaround is the only question mark here as if COLOMBE is in the same form that saw her successful at Windsor earlier in the week she will be really tough to beat. She did that with plenty to spare so a penalty won’t be enough to stop her. Symbol Of Hope has won 2 of his last 4 and was only beaten a length last time so looks the danger off a 2lb lower mark. Outrage is on a lengthy losing run but he wasn’t entirely disgraced when third at Yarmouth last time so likely won’t be all that far away again. The rest all look to be up against it. Coronation Cottage has at least won over C&D but will likely need the run returning from 7 months off the track.
