NAP – Best selection of the evening
MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 8 AT PHILADELPHIA ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT!
Race 8 Philadelphia 9.04 Ruby Bleu (10/11)
Tough sort who didn’t get it all his own way last time but showed good tactical speed to close up before galloping rivals into submission; won 2 from his last 3 now and hard to oppose if in the same form again tonight.
The US NAP failed to get up last night so hopefully we can get back to winning ways tonight as we head to Philadelphia. The tough and consistent RUBY BLEU looks poised to strike again. He has won 3 of his last 5 starts and was a very convincing winner last time despite failing to get the early lead. I think he is quite comfortably the most likely winner in this field and I can see his price contracting further come post time. Social Group is likeable and ran one of his better races when second over track and trip last month. A similar performance may well see him chase home the favourite. Silver Edge has finished runner-up on 2 of his last 3 and might not be all that far away again either.

Race 7 Thistledown 8.50 Topsy Turvy (13/8)
Promising filly who left her debut run behind to win impressively when last seen 189 days ago, kicking clear; open to any amount of improvement and could win this on return before being targeted at bigger prizes.
Siding with the untapped potential of TOPSY TURVY at Thistledown tonight. This filly won head in chest when last seen and while fitness is taken on trust on return I think she has a very bright future and I’m expecting her to win this before going on to better things in time. Payton Pretty is exposed in comparison but has been running well so looks one of the dangers if bringing her best form. Busybeing Fabulous has form that ties in with the latter and could still have a bit more to come so I expect her to feature at some point too. Beautiful Victoria was found out last time behind a few of these and will need to put a line through that to have any sort of a chance here – hard to envisage it really.
