MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 5 AT FINGER LAKES ON TUESDAY NIGHT!

Race 5 Finger Lakes 7.58 Colormepazzi (10/11)

Tough sort who won convincingly at Aqueduct on penultimate start in a much stronger race than this; excuses last time but better than that; back down to 6f now and should be hard to beat if bouncing back; worth chancing.

The US NAP failed to fire last night which ended a decent run of winners. Hopefully we can put that right tonight as we head to Finger Lakes for our best bet. COLORMEPAZZI needs to put that latest disappointment behind him but back down in trip and in easier company he looks to have plenty going for him. He is pretty versatile but it wouldn’t surprise me to see him push forward and look to dictate. The danger is likely Magnetron who likes to come from behind so if the selection manages to slip the field that would be ideal. The latter won 3 starts back but hasn’t been in the same form the last twice and has a bit to prove on the balance. Little Maddy Brown best of the rest but might need the run.

Race 2 Fort Erie 9.33 Act Of Bob (11/10)

Progressive form in recent starts winning 7 of his last 8; only prevailed by a neck the last twice but only ever seems to do just enough; this not a great deal tougher and if in the same form likely very hard to beat once more.

It’s hard to look past the in-form ACT OF BOB at Fort Erie tonight. He has won 7 of his last 8 and has a terrific strike rate. He finds plenty for pressure and rates the most likely winner again in this field. Ace Destroyer is chasing a four-timer himself but he hasn’t been seen since February and might need this outing. Awesome Miner also won when last seen but that was some 238 days ago so similar comments apply. Torpedo Max won nicely on penultimate start but this is a step up so he is going to need to find further improvement to cope with the selection late. The market looks to have this spot on so hard to see anything at bigger odds managing to land a blow if they run to form.
