MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 6 AT WOODBINE ON THURSDAY NIGHT!
Race 6 Woodbine 8.53 Poseidon Steel (2/1)
Promising colt who was slow to break on debut over 5 and a half furlongs here but allowed time to settle and made rapid headway from out the back to win with plenty in hand; sure to improve so one to keep on side.
It was hard not to be impressed with the way POSEIDON STEEL cut through the pack to make a winning debut here last month. This step up to 7f is only going to bring about further improvement based on that and he looks well placed to make it a perfect 2-2 before being targeted at bigger prizes. Uncle Joe looks the obvious danger after deservedly getting his head in front over track and trip last time. If he builds on that he should be the one to keep the favourite honest. Super Pronto also got off the mark last time and has to be respected as well but for me just looks to lack the potential the selection brings to the table. Kiddie Holiday might also not be too far away.

NB – Second best selection of the day
MY US NEXT BEST RUNS IN RACE 8 AT HORSESHOE INDIANA ON THURSDAY NIGHT!
Race 8 Horseshoe Indiana 12.07 Tu Cha (6/1)
Exciting filly who was quick into stride on debut and always looked happy dictating before clearing away in the closing stages; hard to oppose on that and should be hard to beat as she bids to remain unbeaten and make it 2-2.
The prices seem to be coming out later and later Stateside recently so the price I have quoted 6/1 is just provisional but I expect her to open a bit shorter than that as that debut win was mightily impressive. She goes up in grade but TU CHA looks to be improving fast and is one to keep on side. She will go forward again and I can see her burning these off. Starlet Express was denied just half a length last time and had Perfect Smokey Eye behind so could be the danger if building on that as that was her seasonal reappearance as well. Buoy beat Sweepinjustice on just her fourth starts so she is another one that I expect to get competitive if improving again. This is quite a good race.
