Lingfield 2.28 Grace Angel (11/8)
Harry Angel filly who shaped with some encouragement on debut but took a nice step forward beaten less than a length at Lingfield last month; sets a solid standard and gets weight from all her rivals too so hard to beat.
This looks a great opportunity for GRACE ANGEL to make the breakthrough. She went close at Lingfield and with further improvement on the cards and William Buick getting the leg up there really shouldn’t be many excuses. She can be keen so in this small field it wouldn’t be a massive surprise if he sent her on. The danger looks to be Diomed Spirit who attracted money on debut but could only finish sixth. He is likely to improve so should keep the selection honest at least. Impeachment is most interesting of the debutants but she’ll likely know a lot more next time and unless attracting serious support is passed over. Fast Mover will likely find this trip on the sharp side on debut.

Pontefract 7.30 Elegant Erin (11/4)
Likeable mare who has relished the drop back to sprinting winning her last two with a fair bit up her sleeve; did well to win last time after a slow start; up another 5lb but more to come yet and one to keep on side for now.
The hat-trick seeking ELEGANT ERIN should take all the beating at Pontefract on Monday. She is clearly thriving right now and won again with a fair bit up her sleeve at Carlisle despite looking to have a fair bit of ground to make up. She is up 5lb but that won’t stop her as I still feel she has more to offer. Stalingrad was a good third at Catterick behind Good Earth and has been running well all season so could be the danger. King Of Tonga is another one in great form and he has already won twice over track and trip so could be a greater danger. Maple Jack is lightly raced and met trouble last time so shouldn’t be entirely ruled out either. Hard to see anything else landing a blow.
