Relished the switch to patient tactics to leave previous form behind to open his account at Musselburgh last month; backed that up to win convincingly over C&D last time; 9lb rise but hat-trick very much on the cards.
It was a tough day yesterday and the jockey dropping the whip on our NAP just about summed it up! We head to Ayr tonight as we look to bounce back and YAASER looks a good bet to complete the hat-trick. He made the breakthrough at Musselburgh last month swooping from off the pace and backed that up to win impressively over track and trip last time. The handicapper has reacted raising him 9lb now but he remains open to further improvement and should continue to defy his grip. Swinging Eddie certainly wasn’t disgraced when third at Catterick on reappearance and if he steps forward from that he looks most likely to emerge as the danger. Viva Voce best of the rest but does need more.

Goodwood 6.00 Valsad (5/4)
Promising colt who needed the run on return at Newbury but improved bumping into another nice type at Salisbury; obviously progressed again to win impressively at Lingfield; hard to beat on handicap bow.
Hard to look past VALSAD at Goodwood on Friday. He was sent off at odds of 1-3 at Lingfield last time and ended up winning by 13 lengths. That was impressive but he was entitled to do that. His neck second to Chairman prior to that at Salisbury has substance though and he should keep improving now stepping into handicap company. He only has 4 rivals to beat and an opening mark of 85 may well underestimate him. Nathanael Greene opened his account at Chepstow and then was only beaten 2 lengths at Musselburgh. He was unsuited by the way the race developed and likely has more to come so looks the danger. Last Ammo is also respected off the back of that Leicester second.
