Friday’s American Horse Racing Tips
Sky Sports Racing have live coverage of US Racing tonight and I’ve covered FOUR meetings and picked out my best bets.
US NAP LANDED LAST NIGHT! More action in America on Friday with racing from Belmont Park, Woodbine, Gulfstream Park and Santa Anita. My Daily Double pays 5/1!
NAP – Best selection of the evening
MY US NAP WON LAST NIGHT AND RUNS AT SANTA ANITA ON FRIDAY NIGHT!
Race 9 Santa Anita 1.10 Bolden (11/10)
Exciting colt who won impressively on debut on sole start as a 2yo; defied a lengthy absence to make a winning return over this trip on dirt again last month; more to come on turf now and hat-trick beckons.
The progressive BOLDEN can make a winning start on turf and bring up the hat-trick at Santa Anita on Friday night. He has looked very impressive so far and it was all the more encouraging to see him defy a monster absence to win again last month. He almost certainly has more to come and this looks a good opportunity to go in again and remain unbeaten. Johnny Podres won over a mile here last time but lacks a gear change over this trip I think so will likely need more. Caerulean has been running well at this level and was a good third again last time so might not be all that far away again. Does have ground to make up with Johnny Podres though on that penultimate start.
NB – Second best selection of the day
MY US NEXT BEST RUNS IN RACE 6 AT GULFSTREAM PARK ON FRIDAY NIGHT!
Race 6 Gulfstream Park 10.29 Dem A Wonder (7/4)
Likeable filly who has won 3 of her last 4 and showed a great attitude to cling on over track and trip last month; this no tougher and looks to have main market rival Race Day Speed; great chance to win again.
The improving DEM A WONDER can salute the judge again. She showed a great attitude to prevail again last time and is hard to pick holes in given she is proven at this level. There is potential for a soft lead here too and I think she is comfortably the most likely winner. Race Day Speed was behind the favourite here in March and has run well the last twice but even back down in grade has work to do to trouble the selection. Trevess has been acquitting herself well in defeat and must enter calculations. Vitaemi was only fourth to the favourite on penultimate start but improved to win last time albeit up to 7f and if matching that sort of form won’t be all that far away again at a bigger price.
