MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 8 AT PHILADELPHIA ON MONDAY NIGHT!

Race 8 Philadelphia 9.04 Divine Miracle (10/11)

Progressive sort who has won 5 of his last 6 and had too much for rivals again pulling clear to win by a couple of lengths over a mile here last month; doesn’t lack speed back down in trip and should be hard to beat.

The price seems to be collapsing on our US NAP DIVINE MIRACLE at Philadelphia on Monday night. It’s always frustrating when they go off a fair bit shorter than advertised but my advice there would be to back the double at bigger odds. I do think this horse deserves to be short as his form looks a cut above this field. He drops back to 6f from a mile but certainly doesn’t lack speed and will likely be galloping on strongly at the finish. Chrome Dixie has only run once on dirt and was beaten just a length into fourth. If he improves on reappearance he might emerge as the main danger to the selection. Celtic Heart will be trying to close from off the pace and is likely best of the rest.

Race 7 Finger Lakes 8.52 Honor Among Men (10/11)

Useful type who won very impressively in this grade on penultimate start here last month and just looked to bump into one last time; still progressing so looks well placed to get back to winning ways tonight; big chance.

The US NB was scratched in the end last night so we’re still chasing a hat-trick and HONOR AMONG MEN looks up to justifying favouritism at Finger Lakes. He was such an easy winner at this level last month and while he has been beaten since he bumped into another nice type in Writer’s Regret and the pair came clear. This is easier if anything so he should have too much for them. Gimmedamoney won by 4 lengths last time so has to be feared but everything went his way on that occasion and I think he’ll find this a fair bit tougher. Still looks the most likely danger. Father Walsh has form that ties in with the latter so he might not be all that far away in behind either.
